PA Promotions was my first professional graphic design job after university and was a key part of my development as a designer. The company had less than 10 members of staff and I was recruited as the sole designer, responsible for the entire creative side of the company. PA Promotions are a printing and promotional items company so print design and the print process was a large part of my role.
I was the first graphic designer PA Promotions had ever employed. During my time there, I created an entire file network of templates which streamlined the mock-up process for both the company and the customers.
I was also responsible for product photography in the company. As part of this, I established a photography studio on site, to better facilitate updating the website on a regular basis.

Marketing and Events
I also produced all of the marketing tools for PA Promotions which, ironically, promoted them to a larger audience. I was responsible for producing all marketing emails via MailChimp, running social media channels and delivering creative ways of bringing everyday objects to life.
As I said above, PA Promotions is a small company, so creating brand awareness was vital for success. I designed all of the materials for events fares PA Promotions attended.
Designer For Hire
During my time at PA Promotions, I started a new avenue of business for the company – Designer for Hire. This involved me creating designs for other companies, similar to a design agency minus the branding.
This allowed small firms to access professionally designed materials and marketing designs including company wall prints, event banners, desk calendars, business cards, printed bags and glass cloths.
